Embedding LUA in client software

Is there any interest for a version of the client software with embedded LUA?

Idea is to provide access to the samples buffer via LUA, making it possible to implement all kinds of algorithms in the LUA scripting language.

Depending on feedback and amount of spare time, I might start this project.

I'm considering LUA instead of Python, because AFAIK embedding LUA seems much easier than Python.

Re: Embedding LUA in client software

Seems like an idea, i.e. there is definitely a need for a more useful interface.
I was thinking about modifing the proxmark3 client to create st. like a libproxmark3 that would allow to use the device from all kinds of other software including python or libnfc which would probably be very useful.
But then again that’d be a time-consuming process, although one could start with seperating commands from functionality while hacking new stuff.

Re: Embedding LUA in client software

This may be a dead old thread, but anyway, I just stumbled onto this.

Didier, I started implementing Lua a few days ago. See http://www.proxmark.org/forum/viewtopic … 7271#p7271 for more info. Feel free to hack on!
