Compiled Windows clients - always up to date

Introduction

These builds are compiled with the newest version of ProxSpace and are always up to date. Here I will post the latest compiled Windows versions from the official Proxmark repository and some forks. If you want me to add a fork please tell me.

How to use

After downloading and extracting a precompiled build you need to flash your Proxmark3 with the correct firmware. This is done by first adjusting the com port inside “FLASH - All.bat” and then running it. “FLASH - All.bat” can be found inside the win32 or win64 folder. “FLASH - Bootrom.bat” and “FLASH - fullimage.bat” should only be used if you know what you are doing. After a successful flash you need to adjust the com port inside “Go.bat” and the run it. A new command prompt should appear and you should be able to send commands to your Proxmark3.

Report an error

If you ran into an error during the usage of a precompiled build please post following information:

  • The error and how to reproduce it.

  • The precompiled build used. Ex.  official-64-20180731-ab20cc35b7cef4e69a4e74f2b59d9e9b7fe2d022

  • The output of “hw ver” if possible.

  • Your hardware used (What Proxmark3, CPU, etc.).

  • Your Windows version. Ex. Windows 7 Ultimate x64.

What Windows version are you using? What build version? Is there any output to the console at all?

Due to school I was not able to look at it earlier. Unfortunately I'm not able to replicate this error, does it still exist with the latest build? What Windows version are you using? Does this error exist if you compile the iceman fork yourself or is this a bug in the iceman fork?

Re: Compiled Windows clients - always up to date

I get the same crash with iceman's fork. Official one is working.
I did flash the bootrom and fullimage. I tried three different versions in the google drive link above.
Any suggetions?

Edit: It seems to be the client in windows. I tried a very old client and it worked.
I want the newer client to work, any suggestions? smile

No, i just downloaded from the link above without github and without compiling , maybe that's the problem smile
I didn't hava to do it for the official though.

Edit: Those in the OP link are already precompiled and ready to use?

You need to ask @gator about that one since I don't have that problem in my fork on github.

Ok thanks bud! I'm downloading github now and will try to compile it myself.
In parallell i'm getting kali in vmware. Linux is lovely to running natively  but i'm a little stuck and have to run Win for my other apps.

Re: Compiled Windows clients - always up to date

I have no problem running the commands on my pc either. The precompiled iceman fork works perfectly on my side. I even test it on a freshly installed Windows system, I just installed the pm3 driver and it works.
I can not replicate this error, so I need additional information to fix it. What Windows version are you using? Did you test it on another Windows PC aswell?

Since its opensource, you can make changes yourself to the sourcecode.
You can suggest changes but no garantees someone else will make them for you.
Either by posting a new thread or start a new issue on github.

Re: Compiled Windows clients - always up to date

I tried downloading the latest iceman build from @gator96100 google drive  (first post),  and the client crashes on my win10, 64b too.

when running "hw tune", the text works but the command also shows the plot window.  Its there it crashes.  So my educated guess it your QT5 build of my fork doesn't work in the distro.  Your env may have QT5 installed which makes it work for you.
I have two files in my client/platforms folder,  qwindows.dll and qwindowsd.dll   @gator96100 has one.

I hope this enables you to solve the issue at hand.

Unfortunately not. I have tried to add the second library (qwindowsd.dll) in win32\platforms folder or replace the first (qwindows.dll) with last version (Qt 5.8) but it crashes again

Re: Compiled Windows clients - always up to date

I now added qwindowsd.dll, but I have no proxmark to test if that fixed it.
Also I had a problem in my local git repository for the official builds which prevented new builds of the official repository.

Hi Julius, your compiled version is great, but I encounter a 2 problems since a few weeks:
1/ I can't execute scipts

Couldn't open the scripts-directory
and

for the gui by graucho you just need to update the xml file with the new command structures. the exe never needs updating.

Re: Compiled Windows clients - always up to date

the xml file has to be updated manually, that is why it isn't updated.  none of the main pm3 maintainers actively use the gui so it has fallen behind.

i used to try to keep it up to date but i get short on time.

the format is pretty simple and can be learned from the examples of commands already there and you can get the current syntax of most of the commands from the help in the normal client (usually a h following the command)

Re: Compiled Windows clients - always up to date

Hi,I got it,so far I've got no problem using precompiled version with terminal, but I've found it more convenient to use gui it saves a lot of time to type for instance, when I write blocks to t5577 tags specially
it saves a lot of time for me,make less spelling error,I found the gui is easier for me to use,so you think that it is hard for me to adds new command to gui,win 32 bin 2.4 current version I am using, don't have pyramid command, also when I write command manually like "lf pyramid clone xx xxxxx,pm3 got no reponse..I think I need to update xml through expert's helping hands...

I will try to keep setting.xml up-to-dated.

Kind of started to make command structure ready for the big merge, then I stopped by the end of last year. I think in future if I make a command structure available ahead of SW merge, I should put a "UNDER TRIAL" note next to it.

Is pyramid already in mainstream release?
AWID?
NOR?

@seanedu you still have issue with pyramyde? which sw, fork SW do you use?

Re: Compiled Windows clients - always up to date

I did repair my proxmark and started to test the iceman build on different hardware in order to find why it is crashing on some systems. It seems to be a hardware related issue. When compiled with my main computer (Intel i7 2600, fresh windows install with not even drivers installed) it works on all my intel based computers. When tested on my amd based computer the iceman build crashed at start, but when compiled on the amd system the iceman build works on every hardware that I tested. I did upload 2 versions of the iceman build. I need people to test them and if one of them crashes please tell me what build it was and on what hardware it was running.
