failed to read nxp icode tag (ISO 15693)

Hi,
I tried to read the tag with proxmark3, but failed. Here are some metrics of the tag:
nxp icode slix, ISO 15693 vicinity card.
The link to this tag:
http://www.nxp.com/documents/data_sheet/SL2S2002_SL2S2102.pdf
I got these info by using my phone.
Any idea on that?
thanks

Re: failed to read nxp icode tag (ISO 15693)

  • which pm3 do you have?

  • which firmware do you have install? (hw version)

  • which antenna voltages do you get? (hw tune)

  • which hf 15 commands did you use?

and as always, try distance and positioning over antenna to find sweetspot

The one I bought is "ELECHOUSE Proxmark3 V2 DEV kits".

hope that is sufficient for you to diagnose my problem.
My next approach will be to upgrade the firmware and try again.

Re: failed to read nxp icode tag (ISO 15693)

there is currently a known issue with the current firmware on 15693 tags. https://github.com/Proxmark/proxmark3/issues/280

it appears if you checkout the v2.00 release (flash bootrom then arm) it should work on 15693 tags.

Re: failed to read nxp icode tag (ISO 15693)

Hi,
I switched to v2.2.0, flashed it and turned on the debug.
Here is a dump of the sysinfo command.
Looks like the RF works, but the proxmark complains about the uneven number of bytes.
The CRC also failed the further communication.

Re: failed to read nxp icode tag (ISO 15693)

Did I switch to the correct version?
I used this command:
$ git checkout v2.2.0

The output of the v2.0.0:

Re: failed to read nxp icode tag (ISO 15693)

Thanks @marshmellow,
v2.0.0 works well with the "hf 15", although I encountered with the build problem
on file optimized_cipher.c, optimized_cipher.h.
I replaced them with those from the current version.
Thank you all.
