Re: Store review - lab401.com

Admin of lab401 here, thank you for the link.
If anyone has any questions about the site, products or wants something custom, please let me know.

I'm active in the PM / libnfc community and am often travelling to RFID factories - happy to help out where I can.
The warehouse and stock is all EU based, and all products have been vetted and tested as quality before going online.

Re: Store review - lab401.com

Review

I ordered the Proxmark3 RDV 2.0 from this store. The communication was very stressful as the seller doesn't reply to your emails, so that wasn't cool. I asked questions.. got zero answer.

The board itself was functional and I have no complaints. It's the board you can get from Elechouse. Of course, ordering from Lab401 was a much better option for me as delivery is from EU, so shipping time and cost is much better. Additionally, taking VAT and import charges into account, the price from Lab401 was great.

Overall: Good product and good price. Very happy with it. Having that said, I won't be ordering from them again.

Hi Protonian.
thanks for the review. Sorry to hear you had a stressful experience with the store.
I handle all emails and tickets, so I'm surprised to hear it fell through the cracks. Would you mind shooting me a PM with your email address / or how you communicated, so I can work out where I missed the email?

Let me know if you want or need a card product (1K / 4K / Ultralight) - and I'll get one dispatched free of charge for your troubles.

Thanks kindly.

Review

I order several times (both reader and cards) and my experience was really good. They gave me quick answers, technical advices and good products. I felt like a real customer, asking things and getting answers quickly.

Prices are also really good. Shipping was really great, quick (with tracking), well protected and corresponding to my needs.

Overall: I recommend Lab401 for sure ! Furthermore, their motivation to improve themselves is really impressive... It is a rare quality !

New Products
As of now, we've got two new products in stock:
- USB Killer V3 Pro Kit - Love it or hate it, it's a fact of life. And now it's in stock in Europe!
- RFID Blocking Card - Latest gadget from the far east - instead of having to change wallets or placing your cards in little sleeves, this card actively blocks RFID signals in a 40mm radius. It's tested by us as a genuine, interesting product.

Thanks all !

Hi Raph
Sorry for the late reply.

We sell the RDV version 2 - the latest revision, considered the most stable.
This is indeed the version that is compatible with a battery.

Should you have any other questions, please let me know!

Re: Store review - lab401.com

New Academy Post!

Chameleon Mini: Mifare Cracking via the Reader Attack
Chameleon-Mini-Mifare-Reader-Attack_720x.png?v=1503873844]

LAb401's Chameleon Mini RevE Rebooted is a compact, highly capable tool typically used for 13.56MHz emulation (Mifare, Ultralight, etc).

When a reader begins communication with a Mifare Tag, it will send a series of keys to attempt card decryption. The first of these keys can be sniffed by the Chameleon Mini and easily decoded.

Armed with this key, we are able to use LibNFC's mfoc tool with the SCL-3711, or the Proxmark 3 RDV2 to perform a nested / hardnested attack to successfully crack all keys and dump the card.

This attack is especially useful when we have:
- A new generation MIFARE tag that resists classic attacks
- Access to the card's reader

Re: Store review - lab401.com

Chameleon Mini is very interesting product, but I would like to have an external antenna or better interchangeable maybe with SMA connector.
There are some little mifare tag about 2cm (0.79 inches) and the emulation is very hard with this product.
I hope a day to see a similar revision.

Re: Store review - lab401.com

Hi guys,

I don't know if you have ever experienced this situation but i purchased a proxmark3 from lab401 and they send a tracking number i was waiting fir the packet to arrive. After a while, labstore told me that the postman didn't find the address and he sent back the packet to the lab401 store. After that, i don't know anymore if lab401 will resend back my packet or not. I didn't receive any feedback and I sent multiple emails to the store but they have a poor customer service and no one answer. Guys, need to know if this is a serious business or just I threw my money out of the window ?

Thanks.

Re: Store review - lab401.com

Hello,
let me add a positive report:

I preordered the RFID Pentester Pack RDV 4 on 23.07.2018 - will be shipped around 09.08. was announced.
Paypal payed the same day, to Infowise Limited http://www.infowise.asia
Received the tracking code on 07.08.2018 - which belonged to another parcel, going to britain, not germany :-/
Parcel was shipped from a french warehouse.
Emailed to support@lab401.com to point that out.
Emailed again, this time to     team@lab401.com on 12.08.
Finally got an reply on 13.08. telling me they look into it, got fixed tracking code some hours later, in same time the parcel arrived ;-)
Their address is shown here: Hong Kong: https://lab401.com/pages/privacy-policy

So in the end it worked out. Would buy again, when some seasonal coupon code is available ;-)
Cheers
Thorsten

Unfortunately I am not getting answers from Lab401.
Asked first question and got a half-reply.
Second and third questions were never answered. All Tags disappeared from the Store and so far no info on if/when they will be there again (that was one of the questions). I have frozen my orders so far.

Re: Store review - lab401.com

Now also from me a review of my experiences.
The period between order and delivery was about 4 days.
(From France to Germany)

The only thing to note is that the contact via e-mail is sometimes very difficult. I still haven't got an answer to my question smile

However, I think it is important that the items ordered are shipped quickly and properly.

Many thanks for the fast delivery of the RDV4 and the j-link.
They all work perfectly.

I will definitely order again from LAB401. Maybe antennas, in any case the flashing support for the RDV4.

Re: Store review - lab401.com

Placed an order March 27th in the evening, they shipped the next day. Arrived in NY customs on the 16th and was delivered on the 20th.  They responded promptly to all my emails thus far. Their mifare classic magic card works nicely, as well as the coin sized 1K classic tags. Their customer service is excellent; there was an issue with one of the UL cards and they replaced it immediately. I will definitely order from them again.

Re: Store review - lab401.com

Recently I ordered "Proxmark 3 RDV4.01" from lab401. I had some concerns about them because this thread has comments about their support staff being unresponsive.
I contacted them about the status of the order and I got a helpful response on the same day. The order was shipped 2 days after ordering, I received the items 3 days later (I'm in a EU country). All good, I'm happy.

I would recommend buying proxmark3 from this store if you're in EU. The pm3 price is ok, shipping is fast, no worries about customs.

Some of their other products are pricey. For example their card bundles are very expensive and so is their "Lab401 Flashing Multi-tool for Proxmark & Chameleon" adapter which is EUR 34.95!
