Reading problem with XeM Glass tag

Hi community RFID wink

i have implant XeM 125khz  ( glass tag ) come from "Dangerous thing" but i do not read with my PM3 ... i can read all Tag no problem but the glass tag too small antenna maybe ? ..
it works with my access reader but with PM3 i find nothing sad i use these commands lf em4x em410xwatch or lf read   , it works with all other fobkey.

The Chip is ATA5577 and it works now with EM4200

I try to put the Glass tag in different position on the antenna but no result sad

Somebody can help me ? Maybe I can try to put the antenna of my access reader on the PM3 ?

Thanks for your help

Re: Reading problem with XeM Glass tag

try:
lf read
data samples 16000
data plot

Do you see anything?

You might want to do a backup:
lf read
data samples 16000
data save glass.pm3
Make sure not to send any write commands wink

see here for what a good plot looks like: http://www.proxmark.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=1839

Re: Reading problem with XeM Glass tag

You know it is a ATA5577 and you know it works on your reader.

Then, something must be wrong with your PM3's antenna or something.
Do you have any other tag you can try to read/samples/plot ? And check if it actually shows you some stuffs or not.

Where did you get your antenna from? Did you make it yourself? Are you sure you are on the correct pins?

and what do you mean by

but nothing sad

?

Re: Reading problem with XeM Glass tag

if you upload a pic from "data plot" then it would be helpful. At the moment it sounds like yr antenna/tag is bad or the tag has the password mode set,  ..

Re: Reading problem with XeM Glass tag

I bought my antenna on ryscc the same website for my Pm3.
when i try to read with "lf tead" "data samples"  data plot"
It works with my other tags ( Hid , EM  ) but with XeM no reaction, hw tune is ok.

I would like to precise that the XeM is not yet  implanted in my hand.
it is still in a small plastic bag .
Did anyone manage to read a glass tag ( XeM ) with the antenna from ryscc ?

Re: Reading problem with XeM Glass tag

if the tag is small, you might need to make a smaller antenna to be able to read it.
Look at that section of the forum for inspiration. I know Marshmellow did some nice LF antennas.

Re: Reading problem with XeM Glass tag

it looks like it has the same size as an old TI tag that I have.
Try

lf read h
data samples 16000

Re: Reading problem with XeM Glass tag

Thanks for your information , i have changed the position of the glass tag, always on the middle of the antenna but standing not lying.
and now i have results with this command "lf read" lf data samples 2000" "data plot" but i would like to use this command "lf em4x em410xwatch"  to see the ID and after to change it.
No result when i try, i can see on live  "data plot".
i know the glass tag is Pre-programmed with a 40 bit unique ID.

Re: Reading problem with XeM Glass tag

In that case, you'll need to update your firmware to the latest on GitHub.
If you do the v2.2.0,  remember to flash bootrom first.

Re: Reading problem with XeM Glass tag

yeah, your firmware is very old.  the new demod commands fixed the manchester read of that type of weak signal.  update your firmware. (read a lot about it before trying it... wink  )

Re: Reading problem with XeM Glass tag

Good News smile  But .....

After my upgrade 20150224 from RYSCC,  i now have the command "lf search"

and i have an interesting result :

1439999300_search_xem.jpg

its INDILA smile with UID 0000000000000.... ( i don't understand because the Seller told me its ATA5577 with emulate EM4200  )

after that i  tried to change the UID 455678 with the command "lf indalaclone 455678"

1439999680_change_id_xem.jpg

and now there is a little problem lol because it doesn't work ... no answer with "lf search" No Know tags found .... and it doesn't work
with my door reader  ( before it worked ) i try to learn with new UID but no result.

Does somebody have idea  ? sad bad UID = Broken Tag ?

Thank you so much for your Answer and your help

Re: Reading problem with XeM Glass tag

The indala match is most likely a false positive.

try both "lf search"  and "lf search u"
