Is there something that needs to be done before T5577 cards can be read on Proxmark 3. I have tried all of these commands with a few cards and it does not seem to be working I.e. provides no information:
LF T55xx read
Lf T55xx config
LF T55xx detect
I have also tried to write blocks and it is not working ! Appreciate any help.

I have bought the following T5577 tags from amazon and here are the results from my testing:
Does not work with Proxmark but does with the 'white' chinese cloner:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B079CL7B74
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BVPWK7X
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B079CL1KWR
Works with proxmark:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LWPHNP4
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JW6QKZV
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FBNH5ZF
It should also be noted that if you use one of the chinese cloners these devices will set a password on the tag preventing it from being used with proxmark until you unlock the card. More info on that here: https://forum.dangerousthings.com/t/xem … oners/1547

It is all about antenna. The tags "not working" are all small tags which would need a suitable antenna. The article linked by jf12345 is quite clear about that.

Thanks piwi, I was originally thinking the antenna was the problem however, when writing hid values to the card using the chinese clonners, the promark had no problem reading the tags so I thought something else was at play here. I can confirm after doing some more testing that if I remove the case from the proxmark and hold the tag right up to the LF antenna, sometimes I was able to read and write data to 2 of the 3 tags that were originally not working. This confirms that my tags work and the antenna is the issue. The article was referring to the tinny implanted tags so I did not think that applied to the larger keychain tags. I am going to source an antenna from another reader and will report back as to what worked for my tags.
Thanks again!

If you have a RDV4, then yes the LF antenna has problems with t55xx / em4305 tags, the distance is limited. You should also set the prefered t55xx timings, which will give you better functionality. You need to be on the RRG repo for it.
you might aswell run these following commands.
pm3 --> lf t55xx deviceconfig a 29 b 17 c 15 d 47 e 15 p
pm3 --> mem load f default_keys m
pm3 --> mem load f default_pwd t
pm3 --> mem load f default_iclass_keys i
Luckily @proxgrind has a improved lf antenna prototype ready and I am waiting for it to arrive for evaluation.

Thank you @iceman!
I am in fact running the RDV 4. I downloaded the RRG repo and changed the timings which provided some better performance. I am glad to hear @proxgrind is working on an improved antenna. Will definitely buy one when it becomes available.
For now, I noticed that the placement of the proxmark also makes a big difference. For some reason, placing the promark on the palm rest of my macbook pro provided the most consistent performance. I also ordered a few LF antennas from digikey and will report back on the performance of those when they arrive.
Thanks again,
Joe
