There are a couple of RW300 RevA readers currently listed on eBay.
Here is the link. The auction is valid for another 5 days.

Re: I want to but R40/RW300/RW400

The older RevA RW300/RW400 iclass readers are definitely harder to find but they are certainly not extinct.
In fact, depending on what your intended use is you may be able to use one of the many other RevA readers.

Here are some interesting facts about iclass readers that HID will not tell you about.
1. Basically all RevA iclass readers use the same identical firmware (e.g. RW300,RW400,RWK400,R30,R40,RK40).
This has been verified by dumping the firmware of each of these readers.

2. The non-write models (R30,R40,RK40) can be made to be fully functional Read/Write units. The non-write models use the same circuit board as their read/write counterparts. The only difference is that the RS-232 transceiver part is not populated on the PCB and the serial I/O interface wires are not brought out.

I personally have converted an RK40 unit into a fully functional RWK400 unit simply by cutting out a small portion of potting material on the back of the reader and installing a wire connection on the serial UART's Tx and Rx signals. Attaching these signals to a cheap TTL-to-USB converter provides the serial interface to the PC that the missing RS-232 transceiver chip normally provides. I am in the process of demonstrating the same capability for an R40 reader but I have not yet completed that activity.

I do have a few spare RevA iclass readers (most models) if anyone is looking for one to support any of their own testing. However, you must provide a US shipping address since I will not ship internationally.
